How a tilt garage door works and what wears out
A tilt door is a single rigid panel the full size of the opening. Instead of hinging into sections or winding into a drum, the whole panel pivots on an arm at each side, swinging outward at the bottom as it lifts and coming to rest flat under the ceiling. Two mechanisms do the lifting.
